The Hilton Garden Inn at Doncaster Racecourse is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join the team. This is a really rewarding role where you will contribute to the excellent service our guests receive. Your passion for exceeding customer expectations will stand you head and shoulders above everybody else.
The Restaurant Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn will manage the full F&B function within the Hilton Garden Inn so that various needs of the customers are met and to ensure the restaurant maximises its opportunities. You will ensure high levels of customer service and presentation are achieved within the Hotel Restaurant and work closely with other departments to ensure seem-less delivery.
Some of the Key Responsibilities
To be responsible for the overall service and customer satisfaction within the restaurant.
To take and log reservations, including different room packages and functions.
To prepare for the dinner service and functions who are eating in the restaurant as a buffet style or sit-down meal.
To prepare the Restaurant for dinner and lunch shifts and function in terms of layout, seating and cleanliness.
To prepare yourself and the team in knowing the menus, the specials, the pie of the week, soup of the day and any dishes which could run out if popular.
To know where the allergen information and details about the menu is to be found, and to respond to customer queries with professionalism, care and efficiency about allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements.
To manage the room service operation, ensuring that excellent customer service is provided and Hilton brand standards are followed.
To ensure that team members are trained and given feedback.
To ensure that Hilton brand standards are delivered in the Restaurant and by the team that you are supervising.
To monitor hours and staffing on a daily basis with accurate scheduling in line with forecast and budget guidelines.
To be aware of market trends and changing guest needs and make appropriate recommendations of product and services.

Minimum of two years food service as a Supervisor or Manager within a busy restaurant.
Proven track record of leading a team
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Branded hotel experience is an advantage
Basic technical knowledge of restaurant operations
Confident, honest and trustworthy
Strong customer service skills
Ability to upsell
Good time management
Strong interpersonal skills
