Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with raceday cover
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Conferencing & Events Business Development Executive to join us at The Jockey Club to proactively drive sales within the North West region.
Based at one of the UK’s most prestigious racecourses and home of the world famous Grand National, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding targeted Conference and Events sales. This will be achieved through targeting new commercial customers and sectors, whilst ensuring strong levels of repeat business through successful account management.
Excellent communication and rapport building abilities are essential as you will be required to meet and correspond with all potential clients, showing them round racecourse the facilities where necessary.
The successful candidate will;
• Be sales and target driven
• Demonstrate proven success in sales negotiation
• Possess experience in new business development and account management
• Have excellent sales presentation skills
• Be self-motivated and driven
• Be able to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Travel within the North West Region will be required so it is essential that the successful candidate holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
Applicants must also be willing and able to work weekends and evenings to support Racing, Conferencing and Events as and when required.
