Loss Prevention Officer
The loss prevention officer will be responsible for all initiatives and daily tasks associated with loss prevention and safety management to ensure the business integrity and the safety and well-being of all our employees, customers and company assets for the britbet betting shops and pool betting operation.
You will be self-driven and resilient, with a natural ability to communicate. Acting with integrity and working with the Operations team you will implement loss prevention policies and procedures.
You will be focused on deterring, detecting and investigating financial losses at our racecourses
You will keep up to date with the latest manipulation techniques in the industry as well as advising the business development teams on how new initiatives may be open to new and/or old manipulations
There will be a requirement for travel to racecourses across the country.
Risk-assessments for the movement and storage of money around the racecourses
Monitoring and analysing daily staff error reports
Attending race-days and festivals to perform spot checks on staff
Acting as the Investigating officer and conducting investigations into staff errors and any other areas of concern in-line with company policy and procedures
Attending business development meetings to advise on potential manipulations in new initiatives.
Monitoring betting shop security alerts for potential fraudulent activity and following up as required
Monitoring of balances held in racecourse safes
Reporting to Senior Management
Maintaining confidentiality of all investigations and Security/Loss Prevention reports and documents
Good working knowledge of Excel and all-round computer literacy
Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data, using this to manage risk and prioritise workload
Excellent communication skills
Strong organisation skills
You will be required to be flexible and perform other duties as required by your manager.
