Kerry Lee is looking for an ambitious and talented conditional or amateur jockey to join the team. Richard Patrick who started at The Bell House as an amateur 3 season’s ago, is on the cusp of riding out his claim and we need a driven and talented person to follow in his footsteps.

With a stable of up to 31 horses in training, you will be responsible for:

• Exercising racehorses daily, including fast work and schooling
• Maintaining the fitness and wellbeing of the horses and reporting daily to the trainer
• Helping to develop and follow a tailored plan for each horse and continually feedback progress to the trainer.

You will be doing this throughout the stunning Shropshire/Herefordshire countryside, through our 5,000 acres of forestry, large grass gallops and our private all-weather facilities which include our custom-made 6-furlong all weather carpet fibre gallop and schooling fences.

Kerry Lee has been training horses for five years and has had success with a Welsh National, a Classic Chase and a Grade 1 winner to her name as well as winning the Betvictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham last season with Happy Diva (ridden by Richard Patrick), and she is keen to help guide another talented individual through the ranks.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for racing. You must have previous experience working with racehorses and be confident in riding work and schooling.
