HEROS Racing Staff Academy

HEROS Racing Staff Academy is accepting applications for a September start.

Working with Abingdon & Witney College the pair combines the proven expertise of a training provider with the knowledge and expertise of a thoroughbred retraining. The goal to provide the best training and education for those wishing to work in the racing industry.

The learning is racehorse specific, with students gaining hands on experience with racehorses at HEROS and once ready, going out to racing yards and studs on a weekly basis to gain more experience. The students will cover a board range of topics from bandaging to horse health and welfare. Also opportunities to learn how to ride racehorses correctly on the gallops. Students will be taught by qualified racing industry experts, providing them with the underpinning knowledge and hands-on practical skills that will  benefit them when they enter the industry.

The qualifications on offer include a City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Horse Care, Level 3 Advanced Technical Certificate in Horse Management (1 year) and a Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Horse Management (720) (2 year).
