Entry to Employment Programme for Equine College Students
A five week residential training course followed by a work placement at a Racehorse Trainer’s yard
The Entry to Employment programme offers a route into the horse racing industry for those in their final year of studies at an Equine College or who have recently graduated and who have a strong desire and interest to work with racehorses.
The training course will teach participants how to ride and look after racehorses and will be held at either the British Racing School in Newmarket and National Horseracing College in Doncaster.
Upon successful completion of the five week training programme participants will be placed into employment at a Racehorse Trainer’s yard.
This five week residential course runs annually during the summer months. Applications open towards the end of November and close during April. Successful applicants are invited to attend an assessment day, which includes an assessment of riding ability, fitness and suitability for the course.
