“It’s really exciting to see your thoughts and ideas come to life”
Chris Quinn – Digital Editor
Working in Digital means that no two days are the same and, such is the nature of the internet, you have to constantly be checking the news to ensure you haven’t missed anything.
The access we get at racecourses is also fantastic and something we wouldn’t get were it not for these jobs!
I started out in the industry first and foremost as a fan. My first role within racing, though, was as a Digital PR Executive at Great British Racing. My favourite part of that role was to create, edit and film a lot of content, so I was very happy to make the switch to the digital side when it came around.
One of the most challenging parts of the job is switching off for long enough to watch a television show without checking Facebook/Twitter to see what else is going on, but it can be done.
It’s really exciting to see your thoughts and ideas come to life and it’s important that if you have a good idea, speak to somebody about it. Chances are they’ll agree, and then you can make it happen.
