What are your options after you leave College?
If once you have finished college you feel ready to start employment take a look on our Job Board for suitable roles.
Both the Overview of British Racing Seminar and Racing Industry Course (TRIC) are short informative lecture courses, providing information on the roles of key bodies/organisations in the racing industry as well as useful networking opportunities.
If not, you might like to consider doing further training. If you are looking for a hands-on role the National Stud Diploma Course may be of interest. If you are looking for an office based role, both The British Racing School and Northern Racing College offer Racing Secretary Courses and The National Stud runs a Stud Secretary Course
The National Stud Diploma Course
The Diploma course runs annually from February to June and covers a Thoroughbred breeding season. The programme consists of lectures, visits and practical work, providing advanced levels of training on Thoroughbred breeding and the Thoroughbred industry.
Students will have the opportunity to gain a number of additional qualifications including the Level 3 Certificate in Thoroughbred Stud Practice. The course recruits throughout the year and interviews in the autumn for the 24 annual course places starting in February.
