Graduate Development Programme
Applications for the British Horseracing Graduate Development Programme 2018 are now invited. This Programme, celebrated its 25th running in 2015, provides an invaluable source of talent to the sport and its supporting industry. Its starts in July with a FREE 2 week residential course in Newmarket. Following this, industry placements usually start immediately and last for at least 8 weeks.

Entry to Employment Programme for Equine College Students
A five week residential training course followed by a work placement at a Racehorse Trainer’s yard
The Entry to Employment programme offers a route into the horse racing industry for those in their final year of studies at an Equine College or who have recently graduated and who have a strong desire and interest to work with racehorses.
The training course will teach participants how to ride and look after racehorses. Courses take place at both The British Racing School in Newmarket and Northern Racing College in Doncaster during the Summer months.
You must be finishing your Equine College Course in 2018 and be able to start employment in the racing industry at the end of the 5 week training Programme. You must also be physically fit.

The Racing Industry Course
The Racing Industry Course (TRIC) is a British Horseracing Authority programme, planned and delivered by the British Racing School. It is a week long course which covers all of the major aspects of the racing industry.
The course would be suitable for a wide range of people, ranging from those new to racing through to middle managers or anyone who simply wants to broaden their knowledge of the British and International racing scene.
The Course runs from 29th January to 2nd February 2018 at the British Racing School in Newmarket.

Conditional Licence & Category B Course
The Conditional Licence and Amateur Category B Courses are combined. The course is open to any rider wishing to take out a Category B permit subject to the existing pre-qualifying conditions and for potential Conditional jockeys. The next course will be held on the following date:
19th February to 2nd March 2018 at the British Racing School in Newmarket
