The British Horseracing Authority organises days at the races for careers advisors.
These days give advisors an insight into the industry and the many jobs available. It is not until most people get on to a racecourse on a raceday that they appreciate the scale of the event in place – and therefore the myriad of jobs roles available.
Attend one of these dates to ensure you have all the information available to your students. You will hear talks from the main training providers, have a VIP trip behind the scenes at the racecourse and enjoy an afternoons racing.
The next Career Advisors Day is:
24th June 2011 at Doncaster Racecourse
To book a place please contact mdouglas@britishhorseracing.com. The flyer for this day can be found at the bottom of the page.
The racing schools offer open days to give students and parents an opportunity to look around the facilities and find out more about the career prospects and training available. Ensure you keep your students up to date with these opportunities
Northern Racing College Taster Days (Doncaster) are designed for potential students' their families and careers advisors. A typical Taster Day looks at the training the students undertake at the College, the qualifications and the many career paths that the industry offers.
British Racing School Taster Days (Newmarket) are run monthly and offer a similar behind the scenes taste to day to day life as a student at the school.
