Places still left on Supervisory Skills Course at the Northern Racing College

The Northern Racing College in Doncaster are running a Supervisory Skills Course on Tuesday 13th September.

Taking on the role of supervisor can be a demanding job.   It needs new skills to get results through other people.  These essential skills for new supervisors do not come naturally.  This course will enable the participants to understand how they can develop these key skills.  The course is designed to be as practical as possible and will include the following:

  • Understanding the role of the supervisor
  • Internal team relationships
  • How to communicate up and down the management team
  • The ‘right’ way to delegate to others
  • Team member types and the importance of team members
  • Stages of team formation
  • Motivation styles
  • How to manage ‘friends’ and colleagues
  • Delegation – how to plan/organize/motivate/control
  • Delegate action plan – what are they going to use in their day to day role

This one day course costs £50 per person and is suitable for anyone within an organisation who takes on responsibility for supervising other members of staff.
