Warwick Career Advisors Day

Careersinracing hosted its second Career Advisors Day at Warwick Racecourse on Thursday 17th June. Thirty Career Advisors from Warwick, Coventry and surrounding areas attended the day and were introduced to the array of careers and training available in the racing industry. 

Presentations were made by Sara Hay-Jahans, Head of Industry Recruitment  and Training at the British Horseracing Authority (pictured right) on the racing industry and careersinracing.  Dawn Goodfellow, Chief Executive at the Northern Racing College explained the training and facilities available at both the Northern Racing College and British Racing School and Leaya Slater, from the National Stud, gave an overview of the breeding industry and stud work opportunities. 

The day was a great success and received some positive feedback from those that attended.  Further Career Advisors Days are planned at Hexham on 1st October and Chepstow on 3rd November.  Contact Michelle Douglas on mdouglas@britishhorseracing.com to register your interest.
