Qualifications Achievement

Congratulations to Susan Corbett, owner and manager of Girsonfield Stud on becoming the first person to achieve the NVQ level 3 Management of Stallions unit.

Girsonfield Stud, in Northumberland, has over 600 acres and was converted to a modern stud farm from a livestock enterprise over 10 years by Susan and her husband Frank.

Pictured is Susan Corbett with the Danehill stallion Ferrule whose first crop are two year olds this year. Along with Gr1 sire Millkom and Ferrule, Susan is delighted to announce that BAHRI (Riverman) will also be standing at Girsonfield for the 2011 season.

Susan is also a qualified assessor, and a long time supporter of the National Stud’s Apprenticeship Students, having provided many trainees with the best possible grounding via a work placement so that they complete their industry training.
