Pony Racing Training

Pony Racing Training Days are available at the British Racing Schooland the Northern Racing College for those aged 8-15. Training Days are run on a level based system.

Level 1 is mandatory as it acts as an assessment day for Health and Safety reasons. On completion of this day each rider and pony combination are assessed and then invited to attend another training day at a suitable level.

The Pony Club also have training days and you don't even need a pony to attend.

Training Days across the levels include tuition on balance, style and technique, pace, control and awareness.

Training takes place in the classroom, on the horse simulators and on attendees own ponies. Each session is videoed and reviewed at the conclusion of each day.

A more intensive 5 day camp is also run which covers all of the same teaching areas.

"This was so much fun!"

"I loved it - my pony is not very fast but I picked up some really good tips"

Training days run throughout the year during the school holidays and cost in the region of £40 per person.
