Racing Secretaries

The Racing Secretaries Course is designed to provide aspiring secretaries and newly appointed secretaries with a comprehensive understanding of the role of the trainers secretary, the strucutre of the racing industry and racing administration.  Courses are run at the British Racing School and Northern Racing College.

The content of the course will be similar at each training provider and cover areas such as:

  • The structure of racing
  • The British Horseracing Authority's Red Book
  • Employment Guide delivered by the National Trainers Federation
  • The NASS/NTF Agreement
  • Racing Administration
  • The Rules of Racing
  • Weatherbys, including making online entries and declarations
