This Level 1 Award is ideal for someone with no previous knowledge or experience of racing and who wishes to gain a basic understanding of the industry.
It is the first in a suite of qualifications that provides a knowledge and understanding of how racing operates, including information about its structure, governance and administration.
Learning at this level is about knowledge of the basic structure of the racing and breeding industries and forms the building block for further learning and study. It will enhance your awareness of the wider industry and the people you are working with.
The qualification comprises three units:
"The course was really useful and provided me with more knowledge about the racing industry including its history. Coming from a non-racing work background, it has definitely helped me understand the elements of the industry and I really feel I that I know more now about my workplace." Anita Chand, HR Officer
