Run over 7 months this is an intensive programme run by the National Stud and provides advanced levels of training for breeding and the thoroughbred industry. It covers key elements of he breeding cyle and enables students to fully understand the workings of a busy stud. An NVQ 3 will be completed as part of the programme.
Alongside working closely with busy stud lectures will include stud management, pedigrees, veterinary medicine and pasture management.
Work will be continuously assessed with a combination of marks for practical work, written examinations and assignments and a formal interview at the end of the course.
