The Racing Industry Course

The course is a British Horseracing Authority programme, planned and delivered by the British Racing School.  It is a week long course which covers all of the major aspects of the racing industry.

The course would be suitable for a wide range of people, ranging from those new to racing through to middle managers or anyone who simply wants to broaden their knowledge of the British and International racing scene.

You can expect:

  • Specialist speakers from the main constituent parts of the industry
  • Seminars and insightful behind the scenes tours of Tattersalls, Darley and a top trainer's yard
  • Facilitated discussions of the key issues facing racing today including the Levy and the impact of the recession

The course involves 4 themes:

  1. An introduction to racing
  2. The funding of racing
  3. Breeding, training and management of horses for racing
  4. Racecourses and the public appeal of racing
